It’s January 31, 2008!!! Do you know what that means? Meaning- tomorrow is the start of the Love Month! *heart-heart eyes*

Here I am again with my mushiness. Every year I make such a fuss about this month. :D This year is extra special for me. For the first time, as a couple, we will celebrate Valentine season as husband and wife. Awww… hehehe… And… to add how special this year’s love month is – its leap year! One more extra day for us to stay in the love spell of February!

So tonight, let’s wonder off to dreamland and have the sweetest dream ever, for when we wake up – it’ll be the 1st day of the Love Month! ;) Spread the love peeps!

Hollywood Tragedies

January 23, 2008

In my younger years, I was such a sucker for teen flicks and Hollywood movies with good looking guys as lead actors. Thus hearing and reading the tragic news about Brad Renfro then Heath Ledger’s death really comes with a shock.

I recalled the day back in high school when my friends and I cramped in a movie theater, all seated in a row, watching Brad Refro’s The Cure. We fell in love with him in the movie The Client, so upon release of the movie The Cure, we didn’t pass the chance to see it on the big screen. One of my friends is so into Brad that she made charcoal sketches of him. She gave them to me. :D I still have one in my parent’s house. ;)

Heath Ledger struck me in 10 things I Hate About You and The Patriot. Though I am not a major fan, but I was really proud of him in his role in Brokeback Mountain. After that role, it was just apparent that he will go distance in the career he chose; too bad though that it ended tragically.

So many things in my life changed since my goggle-eye days to Hollywood actors. Still it saddens me to hear, news such as these… :(

More than the Balay-balay, Broom-broom and Kwarta-kwarta (More than the Doll house, Toy Car and Play Money)

The year 2007 was a great year for me. I made the boldest (yet simplest) and best decision in my life – I got married! I must say God clearly guided me and my then fiancé to where we are right now; being husband and wife.To top the happiness and love God showered upon us, he filled our lives with material blessings as well. We were able to manage the financial responsibilities we had for the wedding. With the help and support of family and friends, that is. :D

Months before we got married, we were able to secure a home of our own where we moved in less than a month later after our wedding. It’s nothing fancy, just a tiny house in a quiet subdivision but it is home to us. Though paying for it takes a toll on our monthly budget. Thank God, we still get by.

My husband and I talked of having a car in a year time. But again, God is so generous that he blessed us with a “broom-broom” early this year. We are just overwhelmed with his abundance of blessings in our lives.

Since we are such a young couple, my officemates would kid in the office – “Uli na mo sa inyong balay2x sakay sa inyong broom2x? Daghan siguro mog kwarta2x, no?” (Are you going to your dollhouse using your toy car? You must have a lot of play money?)

On the contrary, we don’t have a lot of kwarta2x; only enough to get us by everyday. What’s something we have that is “a lot”? It is not seen by the eye, but felt by the heart.
