In Jacob’s Words: Royalties

Jacob made a crown out of his lego-like toy. he placed it in his head and said:

Jacob: King si Jacob. (with a very big smile)

Then he walked towards me and place his “crown” in my head.

Jacob: King si Nanay.

Tatay: Dili. Kung girl queen.

Jacob: Queen si Nanay.

Nanay: Basta girl Queen or Princess.  Pag boy King or Prince.

Tatay: Si Jacob prince.  Si MikMik princess.

Jacob:  (still holding the toy crown in my head) Si Nanay… Princess Frog*!

Hahaha!!! The best gyud ni akong anak! hihihi… )

*He enjoyed watching the Princess and the Frog a few days back.

 

Jacob and YouTube

For this week, Jacob was given freedom, for the first time, to kubi2x a computer (his Tatay’s netbook ). He just navigates around YouTube’s videos of Baby Einstein, Nursery Rhymes, Mr. Bean, and other kiddie stuffs using the touch-pad.

One time he was watching Baby Einstein’s Neighborhood Animals and got tired of it.
Jacob: Nay, Wheels on the Bus lang Nay, please…. Wheels on the Bus. (a nursery rhyme)
Nanay: Busy ko kay Yuki, ikaw ray pislit diha. (in my head, he’ll just find another video that will get his attention)

Moments later, I hear the melody “The wheels on the bus go round and around, round and round, round and round…”  He played 3 different videos of this nursery rhyme.

I underestimated my kid, the touch-pad and YouTube’s user interface design. )

 

In Jacob’s Words: Big Na

Thursday, July 14: Jacob, after his 2nd poo2x of the day in his diaper.  Nanay was busy attending to MikMik’s whim.

Cocob: Nay! Human na Nay… Human na… Big na Nay, big na.

Nanay: Unsay big?

Cocob: Ang tae. (brutal kaayo akong anak ug term. hehehe…)

Because his 1st poo2x kay similar sa poo2x sa kanding/goat.  Hehehe… He was right.  Big na ang 2nd! hihihi…

 

In Jacob’s Words: Philippines or Japan?

Monday, July 11: While walking back to the apartment from the store, Lola Ners, Nanay and Jacob had a conversation:

Nanay: Cob, uli na silang Lola sa Philippines.  I-love2x si Lola… Aha nimo gusto Cob, sa Philippines o Japan?

No word from Jacob.

Lola Ners: Aha nimo gusto Cob?  Dire sa Japan kay Tatay o sa ato balay sa Camague?

Cocob: Kay Nanay.
